About the event
The Inflatable 5K is your chance to jump, leap and slide your way through a 5K inflatable obstacle course all in aid of St John’s Hospice.
The Inflatable 5k Obstacle Course is coming to St Albans on Saturday 25th April 2026 and it's going to be Epic! The obstacles are BIGGER, BOUNCIER and BETTER than ever before! You'll be jumping, sliding and laughing all the way to the finish line. Grab your friends, family or tackle it on your own. Lace up your trainers and get ready for the ultimate day out with UK Running Events! The course is 2.5K and so you have the option to take part in a 2.5k, 5k or 10k obstacle course when following the sign up link at the top of the page. This race is suitable for children aged 5 and above. The inflatable 5k is open for ages 5 - 15 years old. Children must be accompanied by a participating adult at all times (3:1 child:adult ratio).
So grab your friends, lace up your trainers and help us to enable people in our community to live better for longer.

Why support St John’s Hospice?
As part of Team St John’s you will receive:
- A free hospice-branded technical running vest.
- An Inflatable 5K 2025 finisher’s medal.
- Event photography and finish line goodies.
- One-on-one support and mentoring to help you with your fundraising.

Most importantly, your fundraising will make a real difference in the community. You’ll help us reach more people and provide vital care, whether it’s supporting a child through bereavement counselling, funding an art therapy session in our Wellbeing Centre or helping families with respite care.
How your support helps
- £25 could fund a bereavement counselling session for a patient's loved one, providing them with much needed support at the toughest time.
- £50 could fund a group art therapy session in our Wellbeing Centre, enabling our patients to learn new skills, express themselves and above all else, relax and have fun with one another.
- £250 could fund a day of expert nursing care from a Healthcare Assistant in our Inpatient Unit.
- £500 could fund 24-hour at-home nursing care for a patient who wants to remain in familiar and comforting surroundings in the later stages of their illness.
