About the event

Join our Team of Elves in this festive 5k or 10k through Regent's Park on Sunday 8 December 2024.

This festive season, we are partnering with RunThrough to bring you this family-friendly and accessible event, perfect for runners of all levels. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned runner aiming for a personal best, running solo or with friends and family, this race is the perfect opportunity to get into the holiday spirit while supporting your local hospice! What's more, there will be an opportunity to meet and greet Santa in the Run Through event village.

Please note that the registration deadline for this event has now passed.

Why run for St John’s?

As part of our team of elves, you will get:

  • A free, festive-themed technical running T-shirt and an elf hat to wear on the day.
  • One-on-one support and mentoring to help you with your fundraising.
  • Race day support from the sidelines.
  • Unique themed finisher’s medal and post-race goodies.
  • Professional race photographs.
  • Meet and greet with Santa on race day at the event village!

Most importantly, your fundraising will help us to provide quality, holistic care to patients and their families when it is needed most. Whether it is supporting a child with a bereavement counselling session following the loss of a loved one, providing art therapy for patients at our new Wellbeing Centre, or providing specialist one-to-one nursing on our Inpatient Unit.

How your support helps

  • £25 could fund a bereavement counselling session for a patient's loved one, providing them with much-needed support at the toughest time.
  • £50 could fund a group art therapy session in our new Wellbeing Centre, enabling our patients to learn new skills, express themselves and above all else, relax and have fun with one another.
  • £250 could fund a day of expert nursing care from a Healthcare Assistant in our Inpatient Unit.
  • £500 could fund 24-hour at-home nursing care for a patient who wants to remain in familiar and comforting surroundings in the later stages of their illness.
