St John’s Hospice 'An Evening at The Wallace Collection'
We are delighted to announce that this Autumn, we will host a brand new evening at The Wallace Collection.
The event will take place on Tuesday 24th September 2019 in the Great Gallery, starting at 6:30pm, and will include a champagne reception and private gallery tour. From 7:30pm there will be a three-course dinner with art historian and broadcaster Andrew Graham-Dixon followed by an auction containing exclusive lots to raise vital funds for the Hospice.
The Wallace Collection has an iconic history at Herford House in Manchester Square, the former townhouse of the Seymour family. It is home to an astonishing collection of 18th & 19th century art by the first four marquesses of Hertford and Sir Richard Wallace, the son of the 4th Marquess. It was bequeathed to the British nation by Sir Richard’s widow, Lady Wallace in 1897.
Guests will exclusively experience the collection with a tour. Esteemed art historian and broadcaster Andrew Graham Dixon will be our guest speaker. Andrew has presented TV shows including The Culture Show and regularly judges the Turner Prize and The BP National Portrait Prize.
Caroline Fox, Chief Executive, said: “This new fundraiser is our way of introducing new initiatives to grow the income that we need, as well as highlighting the necessity of hospice care. It will be a fantastic evening and I look forward to welcoming our wonderful supporters to a night of dinner and celebration.”
Our suggested donation for individual tickets is £350 and £3,500 for a table of ten.
Sponsorship packages are also available – information on request.
