Another Successful St John’s Hospice Summer Fayre!
The weather may have been more ‘mid-October’ than ‘mid-June’, but the community still came out in force to support our annual summer fayre. Yet again the fayre was a big success as we raised £18,000 for our palliative care services!
On both Saturday and Sunday St John’s Wood Gardens was full of families and supporters, all enjoying the wide array of stalls, entertainment and rides on offer. From gourmet local food, to handicrafts, to handmade fashion accessories, the multitude of stalls left supporters spoilt for choice. Children of all age groups took part in a treasure hunt around the wildlife area, and once again the donkeys proved to be a massive hit.
Families and supporters were also treated to a wide range of musical acts and interactive performances on our hugely popular community stage.
Speaking after the event Fundraising Director Mark Thomas said, “We would like to thank everyone for their support of the hospice as well as the volunteers and sponsors who helped us put on such a successful event”.
