Special Occasion Giving
Marking a Special Occasion
You can make your special occasion extra special by helping those that depend on St John’s Hospice. Birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, retirements, memorials and any other special occasion can all support the Hospice. By asking your guests and friends to make donations to St John’s instead of gifts, you are assured that many people will benefit from your generous decisions.
Here is how it works
- Call or email the fundraising team, telling us about your special occasion and how you want St John’s Hospice to be part of it.
- We will then send you our special donation envelopes that you can send with your invitations or give out on the day.
- Your guests can send the donations to us by post or choose to donate online or via the telephone. Another easy and efficient way is to set up a JustGiving page for your friends and family to give. Visit www.justgiving.com/stjohns to find out more
- We will keep you up-to-date with how much you have raised and also thank your guests and friends for their generous support on your behalf.
How our patients can benefit
- A gift of £150 could pay for a therapist to visit our Day Services Centre to offer patients a range of complementary therapies, including reflexology, massage and acupuncture
- A gift of £200 could fund an annual education and training session for our volunteers.
- A gift of £500 could fund monthly visits from our Bereavement Co-ordinator to a family dealing with the loss of a loved one.
- A gift of £1,000 could support a patient staying in our 19 bedded Inpatient Unit.
By celebrating with a difference, you make your special occasion even more meaningful and you’ll know that you are doing something really amazing.
If you have any questions or want to request donation envelopes please call Katie on 020 7806 4011 or email katie.mooney@hje.org.uk.
