Our second Christmas Fayre held last weekend has raised £10,000 for the Hospice, bringing our Christmas total to more than £45,000. On the first weekend of December our Christmas Fayre raised an incredible £25,000. Over last weekend Paddington Recreation Ground saw stalls selling a variety of winter goods alongside funfair rides including the Big Wheel, Slide and Bungee. Performances from local community groups on stage set the scene while Father Christmas was visited in Santa’s Grotto.
This year, along with our annual Light Up A Life service in St John’s Wood Church, St John’s Hospice held an inaugural service at St Mary with All Souls in Kilburn. The two evenings allowed even more people from the local community to remember and celebrate the lives of loves ones. Our appeal has raised more than £10,000 to date.
St John’s Hospice cares for more than 3,000 people every year. Our care is completely free, so St John’s must raise more than £1.7million every year to continue its work. St John’s would like to thank everyone who attended these special events and has donated this Christmas. We are a local charity and rely on the goodwill and generosity of our supporters to continue our work. We really appreciate your support.
