Successful Hospice Walk Raises Thousands

Nearly 120 walkers of all ages enjoyed the second St. John’s Hospice Walk In The Park.
Both walkers and volunteers basked in the sun on Saturday as they took in the beautiful surroundings of the Royal Park, some animals in the London Zoo and the spectacular view of London from Primrose Hill.
As they returned back to the Hospice, they were greeted by cheers from staff and volunteers.
After building up an appetite from the 6km walk, walkers were rewarded with a delicious hog roast.
The children were thrilled with the chance to meet Queen Elsa and Princess Anna from Disney’s Frozen; along with a mega slide and face painting.
Fundraising Director Mark Thomas said;” We would all like to thank everyone who came along and supported the walk; including all of the participants, the wonderful volunteers and our sponsor Marsh and Parsons.
“So far we have raised £6,000 and money is still coming which is wonderful."
If you would like to donate towards the walk, or sponsor someone but didn’t have the chance; it’s not too late! Go to our dedicated Walk In The Park page and sponsor someone or simply donate via our secure donation page.
