Thank You To Our Marathon Runners

After an incredible day at the 35th London Marathon, St John’s Hospice is celebrating after it's runners raised over £16,000. The Hospice had eight runners amongst the successful 37,675 who crossed the finish line on the day.
For most of our runners, London Marathon was their first ever Marathon. Tim Swanton, the Head of Sports and Physical Education at St Christopher’s School in Hampstead has had incredible support from his pupils, friends and family for his first ever 26.2 miles. Tim’s goal was to beat the record set by his father and has raised nearly £5,000 in the process. For Tim, "It's been a wonderful experience, being able to run and represent such a great charity is fantastic. A huge thank you for the opportunity to be able to run!"
And for all of our runners, Tim, Luis, Jessica, Shiho, Toshiya, Paul, Nick and Alex, a big congratulations needs to be said to this inspiring group of people, to their family and friends for their support and to everyone who came to cheer them along.
The funds raised will help make a difference to the lives of our patients and their families who rely on our services.
It is still not too late to donate to their efforts, please click on their names to support our runners.
