Thousands of people enjoyed one of the largest family days out in North West London this weekend and raised a over £45,000 for St John’s Hospice. St John’s Wood Church Gardens were a flurry of excitement as the two day fayre took over the grounds.
Peppa Pig was the main attraction on both days and children also enjoyed fairground rides including a Big Wheel, Carousel and Fun House. Over 70 stalls were selling a variety of goods, from toys and clothing, to jewellery and books and activities including an Easter Egg Hunt and face painting kept everyone happy. An array of hot food stalls including Paella, sweet crepes and BBQ fed hungry visitors with adults enjoying the Bar.
The weather held out and the whole event was a huge success not least because of the help of an army of over 200 volunteers. Mark Thomas, St John’s Hospice’s Director of Fundraising commented;
“This Easter Fayre has been the busiest yet and could not have gone ahead without the kind support of our sponsors Hamptons International, Jonathan Arrons and Barclays, and the huge support of the local community”.
Our Easter Fayre is part of St John's Hospice's fundraising efforts and all proceeds go towards caring for seriously ill people and their families in the local area. We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who attended in support of the Hospice to make the day a real success.
