The St John’s Wood Church was packed for the Hospice’ annual Light Up A Life remembrance event. Hundreds turned out on December 11 for the moving service before walking through the street back to the marquee at the rear of the Hospital Chapel for the switching on of the Christmas Lights. The procession was greeted by carols from the Sylvia Young Choir as they walked up the drive which was lined with lanterns. The evening raised over £18,000 for the Hospice.
The Wall of Stars was also unveiled featuring personal dedications to loved ones. The Wall of Stars is now displayed in the Hospital of St John and St Elizabeth and will be there until mid January 2014. You can also view your messages in the Book of Dedication in the Chapel and online here. If you would like to make a donation or dedicate a star, click here or call 020 7806 4011.
